Rayados play Atlas to nil draw
By: j | October 13th, 2008In a match best remembered for being played on a sloppy pitch after heavy rains, Monterrey and Atlas drifted to a defensive nil draw. Despite Atlas playing a man down for the final twenty-five minutes when Jorge Torres was excused with his second yellow card, Monterrey was unable to penetrate the home clubs defense and the match concluded without a score. The only serious scoring opportunities came from Atlas’ Eduardo Rergis with twelve and then two minutes remaining but both strikes went off-target.
Monterrey welcomes the Tigres to the Tecnológico next Saturday.
