Pachuca match preview
By: j | September 25th, 2008After last weeks debacle, it is obvious that changes are in the offing. Monarcas adjustments to the Rayados tactics as well Ricardo Lavolpes use of a 4-4-2 had devastating consequences as Hugo Droguett had a career day. Certainly after the 4-0 embarrassment at the Tecnológico it is clear the enormous impact Jared Borgetti has as Monterrey was toothless without him in the lineup.

After coming off a 5-2 victory over Chivas, the Tuzos is riding a high and will be overflowing with confidence. Their movement and work-rate was tremendous against Chivas and Monterrey will have a handful if they allow them to control the ball. Monterrey needs to revert to a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-3 with most importantly Humberto Suazo, Carlos Ochoa and Jared Borgetti in the attack. Pachuca will look to get off the mark quickly and Monterrey must pay particular care to shut them off early and take the home crowd out of the match.
I will report on the match on Monday morning. I apologize for the delay but I am off to my own matches and will likely be unable to properly review and post till then. I thank you for your patience in this.
