Monterrey VS Estudiantes Preview
By: Jose | July 8th, 2009
In about 30 minutes Monterrey will be facing off against Estudiantes Tecos. this match will be a part of a small cup organized in Chihuahua called Copa Tricentenario. It has been said that Morelia, and Jaguares will also participate in this cup.
Monterrey is coming from a 2-0 win over Polish team Cracovia Krakow in Chicago and a 6-0 win over Monterrey U-20. So far the team has won all their Pre-Season matches and is looking to take the third. For this game several players will not be seeing any action. There were a few players that came out with injuries from the game this past Sunday against Cracovia. Luis Perez for example suffered a minor injury in his right knee and ankle, therefore he will not be playing. Also Orozco has a minor injury in his leg and will not play. Sergio Santana will now be playing also from another minor injury.
As result from these absences other players will have more playing time and will be able to perform better to the coach and earn a good spot on the team. Specially the new guys. Gato Ortiz will sub in for Orozco and hopefully show him self and his skills. Tripa Perez and Medina will get more playing time. For the offense Aldo De Nigris will probably have some action along with Carreno. I will be back tomorrow with a review of the game.
