Monterrey Shares Points With Indios; 0-0

By: Jose | July 26th, 2009

Last night in the first game of the season Monterrey faced off against Indios and tied 0-0. In a very good game with action from both teams Monterrey tied with no goal even though they did have the most clear opportunities of goal. Luis Perez & Arellano were not in field for this game due to injuries.

The two teams were pretty even the whole first half. Action from both teams but none seemed to be able to find the goal. The starting teams were really good. Monterrey this time started with Davino in the defense And left Martinez and Baloy in the bench. In this game you could really see the difference that Davino can bring to a game. It really helped the defense and it was more solid and better organized. Ayovi was working really hard as always creating dangerous plays, but a key player in this game was definitely “Chicharo” Lozano, Indios goalkeeper. Stopping a few clear goals. A very good job form the keeper. In the second half Aldo comes out and Carreno goes in. Carreno had a couple of clear shots for goal but one was missed and the other just stopped by the keeper. A bit late in the game Suazo comes in and he really makes a difference. Just as he comes in he has a very clear opportunity of goal shooting it to the right angle of the net and the keeper jumping high to reach it to send it for a corner. After that he only had a couple of shots but none landed.

Like this Monterrey ties with no goals and takes 1 point home. In my opinion we really deserved the other 2 points since the team really worked hard to get them.
