I had been gone for a couple of weeks since i was out of town but i got back this week so i could not miss the Clasico Regiomontano which was a great game. Since ive been gone the team Lost against Cruz Azul, and beat the at the time undefeated and Superlider Toluca. Now Monterrey has defeated their biggest rival, Tigres. In a very heated game Monterrey dominated the game and took the win in “El Volcan”. The last time Monterrey won the in a short tournament was since 1996, tho we did beat them there in 2003’s semifinals. The game was very heating that fights started to break out in minute 17. By minute 22 Galindo,Meza,Davino, and Lucho had a yellow card already. the first goal was by Gaston “Gata” Fernandez in the first half when he takes the ball and takes on Baloy and Davino and shoots to the left side of the net leaving Orozco with nothing to do. Making history by scoring with both teams. After the goal Tigres decides to step down and defend, which was not a good thing. near the end of the first half the second goal came in by Monterrey’s defender Severo Meza. It all starts from a cross by Aldo, lands on Suazos head and bounces off to the back where Meza comes and just kicks the ball and making a Golazo. Later in Second half Suazo gets a chipped pass from Ayovi and as he goes inside penalty box he gets pushed down by defender Ortiz. Ref calls penalty. Suazo decides to take it him self and as he shoots the ball goes right to the post. Suazo misses. Later on in a great play where Baloy gets the ball he shoots with his head, the ball hits the post then bounces off back to Osvaldo Martinez, then he puts in a perfect cross and Aldo DeNigris puts in the second goal for Monterrey and gives us the victory as he make history. Then Suazo had so many chances its ridiculous how he fails to put in a goal and olnly hits posts. It just wasn’t a good day for Suazo. We take the well deserved win against our rivals and add one count to our wins of the Clasico Regiomontano.
Next up: Estudiantes.
