Guillermo Franco Declined.

By: Jose | June 27th, 2009

It has been officially confirmed by the club. Monterrey will not count with the offense skills of Guillermo Franco. Monterrey recently posted and offer of 1.5 Million Dollars for the services of the striker (Which for me is a way too small amount). The club got in contact with Guille’s staff and manager and they confirmed that Franco declined the offer from Monterrey and will wait for other offers from other clubs.

In my opinion the team definitely did not offer enough for the player. I mean this player helped us win the championship. He is an idol for our team and a very skilled player. Monterrey has payed more money for other players that have not accomplished the same things Franco did with the team. Monterrey payed 3 Million for Robert De Pinho, who did nothing on the time he played for the team. Why aren’t they willing to pay that for Guille Franco? I don’t know, but i feel that the low offer did take a part in the decline. I dont think the team really needs the player but it would of definitely made a difference to the team, and it would for been great for us(the fans) to see him back with Monterrey.
