Cracovia Krakow Match Preview.

By: Jose | July 4th, 2009

Tomorrow at 6:00 PM Chicago’s Toyota Park local time. Monterrey will be facing off in a match against Polish team Cracovia Krakow, also know as the “Belts”. I will be attending this game so i will report back after the game to write a review on how the game went.
Now there is not many information on this team. Ive never heard of them until now. I took the time to do some research about this team and it turns out that they might not be a big competition to Monterrey as a lot of people have been speculating. Also many people have been confusing them with their rival team Wisla Krakow, which is a whole different and better team.
The team has won 5 championships and a Poland Cup in 2007. The thing is, the last championship they won was back in 1948. They have not won a championship from their league in more than 60 years. In the last season they ended up in the 14th place out of 16. Which means that if they would of ended up in 15th they would of been relegated to Second division. Which is where they were in 2003.
Therefore this match should be a nice match and in my opinion Monterrey should win it. Cracovia is still a great team. A European team. and should be a great competition to us. Like i said before i will be attending this game and ill inform on everything when its done.

GO MONTERREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It’s not “belts” but “stripes”. It just happens that the same word is used in Polish for both English meanings

I love how the commercials for the game advertised it as “MEXICO VS POLONIA”. Stupid Univision
