Chiapas match preview

By: j | October 3rd, 2008

There is no way to mix words regarding the Rayados season to-date. It has simply been a disappointment for fans and have made you question how far off the club is from unraveling. Incredibly they sit as a mid-table team and in-facing cellar dweller Chiapas they must capitalize on the opportunity and gain a full three points.

Monterrey was winless in September, coming out with a meager single point from their dreary nil draw against Toluca and far removed with the club with championship hopes. Chiapas faired slightly better in September, winning once but dropping their previous two matches. To complicate the Rayados situation, Humberto Suazo is likely out along with Ernesto Serrato. The Jaguares are without injury but facing considerable disarray and Francisco Avilán has taking over as manager. With the “book” out on the Rayadoes you can expect them to try and take advantage of their weakness against the counter-attack as well as set pieces.

I will report on the match as it concludes.
