Monterrey’s foul season ended with a 1-0 victory over the Pumas on the strength of Humberto Suazo’s goal six minutes into the match. The loss leaves the Rayados fifth in Group 1 and sixteenth in the overall table. The victory will do little to erase the memory of the season and following the match Ricardo Lavolpe would not discuss the situation with the merely reiterated that he was headed on holidays. With this in mine, during the break will need to analyze its liabilities and make appropriate changes. While the clubs cupboard is full of quality, the level of focus, discipline and professionalism is arguably the wost in La Primera División and massive changes are in order.
